Mother's Day Rose Cake

Mother's Day Rose Cake

This decadent chocolate cake has ombre gradient roses hand piped to create a romantic and delicate finish.

Once you have baked and stacked your cake, simply make your buttercream, split into three pots and add varying concentrations of colour to each pot. Then add to three disposable piping bags. I used the star nozzle to create this rose effect..with a few attempts I must add! Top tip is to try out your roses kitchen roll first. Try to keep your nozzle flat to the cake and when doing the sides keep the piping bag as horizontal to the cake as possible so your roses are in a straight line. Don't forget to do your crumb layer of icing first before the roses for the best effect!

This is a delicate show stopper perfect for birthdays.
